Madurai AIIMS Hospital Chairman Nagarajan Venkataraman passed away in Chennai. Nagarajan was admitted to Chennai Ramachandra Hospital for treatment and died of a heart attack at 12:15 midnight yesterday.
The news of Nagarajan's demise was confirmed by his son-in-law, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Department Secretary Radhakrishnan IAS on his Instagram page. He also expressed his condolences in the post. Nagarajan, a senior neuroscientist, headed the Neuroscience Research Group of V.N.

He was the Chairman of the Ethical Committee of Madurai Rajaji Government Hospital and Honorary Professor of Dr. MGR Medical University. Similarly, it is noteworthy that the Union Health Ministry appointed Nagarajan as the head of the newly established Madurai AIIMS Hospital in October 2022.
